Traditional Chiefs Express Gratitude for Eséka Hospital Upgrade

On May 14th, 2025, the Traditional Chiefs of Nyong-Ekellé paid a formal visit of gratitude to the Minister of Public Health following the transformation of Eséka District Hospital into an annex regional hospital. Led by His Majesty Albert BIDJOCKA, Regional Councillor of the Centre, a delegation of about twenty chiefs delivered an official letter and motion of support, expressing sincere appreciation to the authorities, especially the President of the Republic, H.E. Paul BIYA, for this historic decision benefiting their region.

In his remarks, the Minister highlighted the President’s vision to prioritize healthcare and pledged that the upgraded hospital will soon see new equipment and staff. He thanked the chiefs for their symbolic gesture and promised to relay their motion of support to the President. The meeting concluded with traditional acts of gratitude, embodying the continued spirit and unity of the Nyong-Ekellé community.
