Dr MANAOUDA Malachie

About

Dr. MANAOUDA Malachie is a Senior Civil Administrator with a Ph.D. in Political Science and over 23 years of experience in various high-level positions. He has been serving as the Minister of Public Health of Cameroon since January 4, 2019, the date of his entry into the Government of the Republic of Cameroon.

Prior to this role, he held several key positions, including Secretary General of the Ministry of Trade (2018–2019), Secretary General of the Ministry of Water and Energy (2012–2018), Secretary General of the Ministry of Arts and Culture (2010–2012), Attaché in the Division of Organic Affairs at the General Secretariat of the Presidency (2003–2010), and Policy Officer in the Prime Minister’s Office (2000–2023).

Bio

Throughout his career, Dr. MANAOUDA Malachie has received several honorary distinctions, including the titles of Knight, Officer, and Commander in the National Orders of Merit. He was recently awarded the Special African Prize for the Implementation of Universal Health Coverage and the Improvement of Health Care Services in Cameroon.

Dr. MANAOUDA has led the introduction of several innovative technologies, including organ transfusion and various free healthcare policies in Cameroon. Outside of his political activities, he is also the author of a book published in 2020 titled “International Solidarity and the Duty of Peace”, released by Éditions Tropiques. He has also delivered numerous talks on humanizing healthcare, health system reforms, and related topics.
