Under the theme “Social Dialogue and Decent Work: For a Serene Cameroon,” the Telecommunications Regulatory Board (ART) officially launched activities marking the 139th International Labour Day on April 25, 2025.
In Yaoundé, the events began with an educational workshop on Leadership and Personal Development, held at the Immeuble Platinum. Moderated by Ngba Ndo Virginie, Head of the Management Control Division, the workshop delivered practical tools to strengthen professional effectiveness and career growth. Experts from the John Maxwell Foundation led discussions on three core topics, guided by Massousi Luciola: prioritization and time management, career and personal goal-setting, and team relations.
The celebration continued on April 26 with a spirited fitness walk, as ART staff in Yaoundé gathered for a group activity from Boulevard du 20 Mai 1972 to the Congress Palace roundabout, supervised by ART Technical Advisor No.2, Batifotam Clotilde Domisseck.
Across the regions, diverse activities engaged staff. In Douala, the Littoral and South-West Regional Delegation, led by Mpoudi Mengue Patrice Joel, began celebrations with a visit to the Bonamatoumbè Fishermen’s Training Center, fostering teamwork and skill development. In Garoua, a round table on social dialogue and decent working conditions, facilitated by Labour Inspector Mbatoum Jacques Charles, encouraged constructive exchanges among staff, followed by a team fitness walk led by the Regional Delegate, Mohaman Bello Ibrahim.
These initiatives underscore ART’s commitment to promoting dialogue, well-being, and professional growth among its workforce.
